Lloyd Austin Somehow Claims Boots on a Gaza Pier Don't Violate Biden Pledge

On the menu today: Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin tells Congress that the U.S. will not have any "boots on the ground" while installing and running that pier in Gaza. No, those boots — "in residence" — will remain just offshore, and thus they don't count as "on the ground." Oh, and they might come under fire, because a senior Hamas official has pledged to treat any foreign military personnel in the Gaza Strip as "an occupying power."
