| Dear Friend, Before you hang up your stockings and get the kids snuggling, please take a moment to consider this 8th of 10 reasons why NR deserves your support. True, this is all very arbitrary, because I could suggest 110 reasons why you need to send your favorite conservative website a contribution. Number 8: nearly every day, Kat Timpf takes to NRO to reveal and catalogue the latest utter insanity being propagated by the Multicultural Left. I have to admit, sometimes these stories almost write themselves. Such as this beaut from earlier this week: College Students Sign 'Petition' to Ban 'White Christmas'. But this is the core fight we conservatives are in -- battling these determined Red Guard wannabes who are seeking to subvert, overwhelm, and overhaul our culture. You may increasingly think of Kat as the sassy comic who towers over Greg Gutfeld, and you'd be right to think that. But Kat is truly a terrific reporter. Nobody has done a better job of reporting on the Left's culture-madness than Kat. This is just one of many reasons why NRO needs to be in the fight, and needs your support to make sure it is fully armed -- on behalf, frankly, of the very things you believe. We're working hard to raise $25,000 these last 10 days of 2015 in order to fortify our (very cost-effective!) social-media outreach effort. We've had phenomenal success with our social media this year, but we need to do much more in 2016, and that will take money. Will you help us spread the consequence of NR? Especially if you come to NRO frequently, I ask you to please help our cause and contribute to our Social Media Outreach Project. No contribution is too small: Your donation of $25, $50, $100 or more will play a big part in helping us. Do that here. Hey, that might be your 11th hour strategy to ensure you're not on the Naughty List! To date we have raised some $10,000. I'll continue to keep you posted how our Social Media Outreach Project. Santa's coming in a few hours. Before you settle your brain for that long winter's nap, donate. Many thanks. Merry Christmas, Jack Fowler Publisher National Review

A left-wing writer and racial-justice activist who has claimed that American society was "instituted by racist ideas and maintained by racist policies" published a black history book for kids earlier this year that appears to be filled with content plagiarized from other sources, according to a review of the book by National Review . Confronted with the apparent plagiarism, the book’s publisher said it would be pulled from circulation pending an investigation. Rann Miller, a New Jersey-based activist and educator, published Resistance Stories from Black History for Kids in March. According to the book, it is designed to be a "place of entry" into the history of the African people so readers will be "empowered to fight" injustices in the world. Miller, a former teacher who has both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Rutgers University, also writes opinion pieces for the Philadelphia Inquirer , the Progressive Magazine, and education websites
