Thank you

The Heritage Foundation

Dear John,

As I celebrated Christmas yesterday with my family, I had a moment to stop and think about all that I have to be grateful for.

First, I am grateful to live in a country where freedom and opportunity reign.

Second, I am grateful for the past year in my new role serving as your President of The Heritage Foundation. Over the past 12 months, I had the chance to meet with thousands of Heritage members like you. I was reminded that it's the hardworking, exceptional Americans that make our country great -- not the political figureheads in office.

Finally, I am very grateful for you. Without your support and generosity, we at Heritage would never be able to accomplish all that we have so far. I know at times it feels like we are fighting an uphill battle -- but we will continue to fight, and we will win. I’m confident of that. I wouldn't have taken this job if I didn't think we would win.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your generosity is inspiring.

As 2013 comes to a close, I hope you plan on making a year-end gift to Heritage. It's not too late -- your donation will help us finish the year strong and be well prepared for what lies ahead. Please take a moment and make your end of year donation to The Heritage Foundation today.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Jim DeMint
President
