Deneen Borelli, author of the popular book, “ Blacklash”, Reverend Wayne Perryman and Juan Williams joined Sean to discuss her thoughts on the tragic killing of Trayvon Martin. “It’s very important that we don’t rush to judgment,” offered Hannity, “As we try and piece this all together, we need to get to the truth and facts should be paramount to the case.” “You’re absolutely right we should be avoiding a rush to judgment,” agreed Borelli, “One thing that is also tragic is the tone that has been set from President Obama.” Borelli continued, “The President should’ve calmed the flames of racial tension but, in my view, he’s soaking the flames instead.” Williams added his thoughts saying, “I thought the President spoke exactly as he should have and if you don’t think race is part of this i ssue then you’re not paying attention.” “Just last week 41 people were shot in the south side of Chicago,” pushed Perryman, “President Obama hasn’t said a word about that.” “President Obama has politicized this,” fought back Borelli, “Look at the pattern where President Obama has asserted himself like in Cambridge with the police there.” While the battles continue across the country, it’s unclear what will need to happen in order for a resolution to come about. Obama Care under Scrutiny Dr. Chris Lillis of Doctors for America and Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel for ACLJ, joined Sean to discuss the Supreme Court’s decision to hear the Obama Care law. “Tomorrow will be a big day,” began Sekulow, “Tomorrow the constitutional mandate will be what’s addressed tomorrow.” “This will be a complicated set of days,” agreed Dr. Lillis, “This will be interesting to see how they’ll rule.” “This is a huge over reach by Congress,” opined Sekulow, “This makes the commerce clause so broad that it allows the government to reach into our personal lives.” “The chief argument is that Congress doesn’t have the authority to force Americans to buy health insurance,” summarized Hannity, “That’s the issue.” At the same time the courts are reviewing the constitutionality of Obama Care, the Congressional Budget Office just recently released information claiming that Obama Care’s costs are increasing dramatically. | Battle of the Bands Rickey Medlock of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Dane Clark of the John Mellencamp Band joined Sean to do battle over the role of government. “As I listen to the lyrics of your songs, Dane,” began Hannity, “what has Corporate America done to you?” “When I wrote that song I was watching the Occupy Movement,” offered Clark, “I just think the song speaks for itself.” “First of all, you’re talking about corporations,” argued Medlock, “You don’t want corporations but if you shut them down you’re going to have nothing.” Medlock continued, “Lynyrd Skynyrd and John Mellencamp are corporations or partnerships.” To watch Dane Clark’s video, click here.
