Senate passes three-month transportation bill


Hours after the House passed a three-month stopgap bill to keep federal transportation aid flowing, the Senate approved the extension by a voice vote, despite objections from some Democrats.

President Obama's signature is required by Saturday, when the government's authority to spend money on transportation programs expires.
