Juries in New Mexico and California are finally holding Big Tech accountable. This week, a verdict was reached in a landmark social media trial, finding Meta and Google liable on all counts related to social media addiction. This verdict marked a monumental victory for parents, children, families, and survivors who have taken Big Tech to court to demand accountability after having the door slammed in their face by these companies for years. There is now no denying that these platforms must be held accountable for the harms they have inflicted on children. It’s time for Congress to follow the lead of these juries and take action by passing the Kids Online Safety Act to enshrine protections for American families into law. Read more here.

Image Rural Tennesseans face many barriers to receiving quality health care in their communities, and addressing health care delivery challenges in rural America could mean the difference between life and death for some patients. That is why I introduced my Rural Health Agenda this week. This legislation targets key areas of reform, including the recruitment of health professionals, the delivery of urgent care and emergency triage services, and the flawed Medicare Area Wage Index that results in rural hospitals receiving lower payment rates. Before the Memphis Safe Task Force, Memphians could not walk outside without fear of being robbed, assaulted, or murdered as criminals and gangs turned neighborhoods into war zones. Under President Trump, those days are in the rearview mirror. It was an honor to join President Trump in Memphis this week to celebrate the tremendous success of the Memphis Safe Task Force. Read more about this in my weekly column here Image
Image  Entrepreneurship is at the core of the American Dream, and we must remove barriers that prevent hardworking Americans from launching their own businesses. This week, I introduced the American Innovation Act to spur new business innovation for driven entrepreneurs. This bill would expand tax incentives for offsetting startup costs and remove initial barriers for creating new businesses to help Tennesseans invest in their communities and grow their local economies. On Monday, the Senate confirmed my good friend and colleague, former Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, to be the new Secretary of Homeland Security. Secretary Mullin will do an excellent job, and President Trump could not have picked a more qualified candidate to build on Secretary Noem’s work to make our country safer. Republicans will ensure Secretary Mullin has the tools he needs to deport criminal illegal aliens and defend our homeland security. Image
