America Needs ‘Founders’ Nationalism’

Albin Sadar

March 12, 2023

America was founded upon Judeo-Christian values. Some today are not happy with that fact, but it is a fact, nonetheless. And inherent in those values are freedom of religion — and not just the Jewish and Christian religions, but all religions — as well as the freedom from religion.

As John Adams stated, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

True liberty requires a moral code, like the Ten Commandments, and encouragement to “love your neighbor as yourself.” And these ideas guided our Founders who did not declare the country a “Christian nation.” They did not see it as such. They saw it as “a new nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

There is No ‘Right’ and ‘Left,’ Only Right and Wrong

Raymond Ibrahim

March 14, 2023

One of the most misleading and dangerous words that all sane people need to use with caution — if not do away with altogether — is the “Left.”

Why? Because it bestows legitimacy on insanity and worse.

In current discourse, the Left and Right are seen as polar opposites on a continuum of political views.  Imagine a horizontal line:  the further right one goes, the more conservative, religious, traditional, one becomes; the further left, the more one becomes the opposite — liberal, secular, and progressive.

Meanwhile, and here’s arguably the most misleading aspect of this paradigm, the middle of the line — the “centrist” position — becomes the default “middle ground,” the area where supposedly non-ideologically charged people reside.

To a large extent, this paradigm is nonsense and increasingly being used to legitimize falsehoods and corruption. It is built atop an assumption — that there are no truths, or if there are, they are somewhere in the middle. Inasmuch as one veers to the right or left he becomes an “extremist.”

How Did Tennessee’s Drag Queen Bill Get Passed?

Ron Hale

March 10, 2023

Tennessee Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed a bill into law on March 2, 2023, that more state legislatures and governors need to follow for protecting children.

The bill protects children from seeing grown men “dressing like women and parading their half-naked and sexually charged bodies in front of kids, even prancing for dollars in some videotaped instances,” said journalist Cheryl K. Chumley of The Washington Times just days before Gov. Lee signed this “first-of-its kind” bill.

The National Review writes,

The bill, which passed 74-to-19, makes it illegal to host ‘an adult cabaret performance’ where children may be present. Cabaret performances are defined as those featuring ‘topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, [and] male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to a prurient interest.’”

When Religion Blocks Relationship … and Belief

Sean Dunn

March 15, 2023

I have never seen such a clear picture of relationship versus religion and the way the world will react to it.

While having lunch with a new friend, the waitress confided that she had a son she was concerned about. He was making poor choices, surrounding himself with bad influences and starting to pull away from his family. She was very open to share and very grateful for the compassion she was receiving.

I asked her if she would share his name because we wanted to pray for him. After telling me his name, she got down on her knees (in the restaurant where she worked with the employees and customers looking on), folded her hands, put her elbows on the table and closed her eyes.

I had a couple of thoughts: ”She hasn’t prayed since she was four,” and “She is desperate for help.”
