Hannity's Headlines

VP Rubio?
Senator Marco Rubio was joined with his wife Jeanette to talk politics with Sean. “You don’t enjoy politics,” noted Hannity of Mrs. Rubio, “You don’t enjoy politics.” “No,” candidly replied Jeanette Rubio, “I know how he wanted to make a difference and I support him but…” “He describes you in his book as a wife who wants dad home by six for dinner every night so you must think he can do a good job,” posed Hannity. “I believed in him,” quickly answered Rubio, “I believed he could make a difference and his passion for doing something for people - I believed in him.” “Jeanette reminded me of why I wanted to be in this,” explained Senator Rubio, “That was to do something, I didn’t want to just be somebody, I wanted to do something.” It’s becoming clear that Senator Rubio is on the short list of running mates for Governor Mitt Romney. R egardless of whether he’s chosen or not, Senator Rubio’s star is certainly on the rise. To watch Sean’s interview with Senator Romney, click here.

Arizona vs The US
Sean was joined by Lanny Davis, a Fox News contributor, and Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the ACLJ, to discuss the Supreme Court’s latest ruling which gives Arizona the right to control its own immigration policy. The most controversial provision in Arizona’s policy was a policy that allowed local police to check immigration status during routine stops. “What is wrong with this,” a confused Hannity asked, “They had to be stopped for some other reason.” “The court unanimously ruled that this policy is constitutional,” explained Sekulow, “However, this only allows the State to make the call to the Federal Government but they’ll make the call and the President has already said nothing will happen.” “This is a great victory for people who believe in Federal power,” countered Davis, “Arizona has the right to do anything it wants to as long as it doesn’t interfere with federal law.” This debate will, no doubt, rage on as the violence continues to escalate along America’s borders. Obama Care
Dr. Cathleen London and Hadley Heath joined Sean to debate Obama Care and the goal of health care reform. “We have 42,000 deaths a year due to lack of health insurance,” kicked off Dr. London, “Right now the Affordable Care act will help 33 million people who are uninsured get medical care.” “America has never been a country that has subscribed to a top-down system,” countered Hadley Heath, “ I hear the concerns about health care reform but we need to have the right tools to address the right problems.” To many, Obama Care seems more like an answer in search of a problem.  According to the most recent Rasmussen Report, 52% of Americans would like the Supreme Court to overturn President Obama's health care law.  Are you among that group?

GOP Should be Touting The Defeat of Waxman-Markay - Posted by IndyBec
Cap and Trade was supposed to be a signature piece of legislation for Obama, it was the measure intended to "lower sea levels." However, it saw sluggishness in the House, passed, but then died in the Senate. It's defeat in a large part can be attributed to the Tea Party and GOP, not to mention talk-radio opposition. If it had passed? Let's reflect, it would have been the "perfect" embodiment of a bill "for the 1 percent:" raising utility bills for "everyday Americans while making a few traders and speculators very rich, without doing much for emissions rates, to boot.
