Good morning,
One last chance! Yes, we closed the Cut to the News fundraiser yesterday. We are enormously grateful to everyone who donated. But one of our extremely generous donors noticed that we were about $1,000 short of our fundraising goal and made an irresistible offer to match every donation, up to a total of $500, from now until midnight. That would get us to our goal! So please consider doubling your money now with a donation. It's easier than ever to help support great journalism and a publication that helps you cut through the mountain of clutter to the top news of the day!
Thank you.

Flurry of huge trade deals buries Trump tariff doubters . . . Big trade deals with Japan and the European Union have injected momentum into President Trump's trade agenda and knocked his critics back on their heels. Mr. Trump's trade plans seemed stuck in neutral a few months ago, making it a punching bag for economists and pundits. Now, however, countries are opening their markets and throwing billions of dollars at U.S. projects, making deals that avoid tariffs in the high double digits but nevertheless agreeing to higher tariffs that they can stomach. Trump says Canada's Palestinian move is a new trade deal stumbling block . . . U.S. President Donald Trump said late Wednesday that Canada's move to recognize Palestinian statehood threatened to jeopardize trade deal talks between the two countries. On Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that his country intends to recognize a Palestinian state ahead of September's United Nations General Assembly, joining France and the U.K. on that path. Newly declassified evidence suggests FBI conspired with Clinton to legitimize Russiagate allegations . . . Americans are about to get another jolt from declassified Russiagate evidence, this time showing the Obama administration had intelligence as far back as summer 2016 that Hillary Clinton approved an operation to manufacture a fake Russia scandal to harm Donald Trump and the FBI would "fully participate in the plan," officials told Just the News. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who has spent years fighting to declassify the intelligence gathered from a foreign enemy and delivered to Obama, is set to release the bombshell information. The Left's Hitler Derangement Syndrome . . . I grew up being told—though I, of course, could never verify it since their corpses were roasted to ashes in the crematoria—that 200 of my relatives were murdered during the Holocaust. You, on the left, who contend President Donald Trump has something to do with Hitler and the Gestapo, likely know the horror of how they were killed. Trump bears no resemblance to Hitler, and any contention otherwise is an insult to everyone who died at the Führer's hand. With the careless invocation of Hitler, you are guilty of imperiling the essential vow Jews have repeated to themselves and the world for 80 years: Never forget. By Keith Koffler for The Daily Signal
Donald Trump Considering Pardon for Diddy After Judge Rules on Bail . . . Donald Trump's White House has been in communication with Diddy's legal team about a potential pardon for the music mogul, and we've learned the decision may be determined by the judge's ruling on bail. Donald Trump is "more than open" to pardoning Diddy, but he wants to wait to see what Judge Arun Subramanian does with Diddy's latest bail petition. We're told if Diddy is granted bail, Trump will not make a decision on a pardon until Diddy is sentenced. If the judge denies bail, a decision will be made immediately. TMZ
Trump is said to feel that Diddy was unfairly treated by the justice system, like he was.

Trump Says Nancy Pelosi Should Be Investigated For Insider Trading . . . "You know, Nancy Pelosi became rich by having inside information. She made a fortune with her husband, and I think that's disgraceful," Trump said during a press conference at the White House. "And what I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated, because she has the highest return of anybody practically in the history of Wall Street, save a few," Trump added. "And how did that happen? It happened by she knows exactly what's gonna happen, what's gonna be announced, she buys stock, and then the stock goes up after the announcement's made." Daily Wire
Trump calls GOP's Hawley 'second tier' senator after bill to ban stock trades in government advances . . . President Donald Trump lashed out at Sen. Josh Hawley on Wednesday after the Republican's proposal to ban stock trading by members of Congress — and the president and vice president — won bipartisan approval to advance in a committee vote. A day earlier, Trump tore into veteran GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa over an obscure Senate procedure regarding nominations. Associated Press
Congressional Republicans Putting Back Money DOGE Took Out . . . Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., moved to defund the National Endowment for Democracy after a House Republican proposal for fiscal year 2026 included full funding for the agency at 2025 levels, even though President Donald Trump called for defunding it. While agencies like NED and USAID have historically advanced American interests abroad, critics say they have promoted gender ideology, divisive racial programs, and regime change in recent years, undermining American interests. Pete's Telling 'Pivot' . . . Once again, a Democrat is using slippery language to imply he understands the unfairness of men in women's sports. "I think most reasonable people would recognize that there are serious fairness issues if you just treat this as not mattering when a trans athlete wants to compete in women's sports," former Biden administration Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg told NPR Monday. So does Buttigieg, a former and likely future Democrat presidential contender, agree with the 75% of Americans who don't think boys should play on girls sports teams? Not exactly. Daily Signal
Bill Imposes Prison Time for Those Who Harm Law Enforcement Dogs . . . A bill in Congress would impose up to 15 years in prison for those who harm a law enforcement dog with a deadly weapon. In partnership with K9s United, a nonprofit that seeks to protect and support dogs used in law enforcement, Republican Rep. Aaron Bean of Florida announced the Leo K9 Protection Act, a bill that would increase the penalties for individuals who use a deadly weapon to harm a federal police animal, Bean's office said in a press statement. Shockingly shrunken footprint of a former president . . . He's staffed by only one or two aides. He holes up for hours at a time in Delaware working on his memoir with a new ghostwriter, while undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Welcome to life after the White House. How the 'Neutral' UN Is Helping Hamas Oppress Gazans and Fool the World . . . Every day this week, hundreds of U.N. trucks stacked with pallets of humanitarian aid have exited Israeli-patrolled routes and rumbled into population centers across the Gaza Strip, where Israel has implemented daily pauses in military operations. Many of the trucks, operating under enhanced Israeli protections introduced on Sunday, have not reached U.N. warehouses, according to Gazans on the ground. Armed Hamas militants have hijacked the trucks, the people said, and what aid has arrived at the warehouses has disappeared into a patronage system controlled by Hamas. Washington Free Beacon
