Reclaiming America’s energy dominance

Dear Fellow Patriot,

If you have a moment, I'd like to run something by you.

This past October, OPEC made the unexpected decision to cut production quotas by two million barrels per day.

In response, Biden unleashed his usual rhetoric and threats—but in reality, he simply has no legislative or legal means to retaliate that wouldn't also hurt American consumers like you. Why?

Because the Biden Regime, obsessed with a "New Green Deal" based on neither evidence nor common sense, continues its war against American energy in favor of a dangerous overreliance on foreign oil from known human-rights abusers like Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, China, and even Russia. The result?

Record-high prices at the pump and skyrocketing costs on the everyday goods you and your family need to live happy, secure, and healthy lives. It shouldn't be this way … and the answer isn't "over there."

It's right here at home—in the fields of Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Dakota—and at the hands of American workers, ingenuity, and domestic energy producers.

If you're sick of paying an arm and a leg just to fill your tank … and if you're one of the millions of Americans concerned about our over-reliance on foreign governments … then it's time to demand that our representatives unleash America's capability to produce clean, affordable energy within our borders.

On your behalf, Heritage is working closely with lawmakers in Washington to restore America's energy independence and provide affordable energy to Americans like you. Heritage is drafting and advancing common-sense legislation that will:

  • End ineffective regulations that increase the cost of energy while doing little to improve air quality or reduce pollution
  • Fix anti-competitive energy policies that put politics and special interests above consumers
  • Restart oil and gas leasing on federal lands while reforming offshore energy leasing to open America's coasts for offshore oil, gas, wind, and other resource exploration and development
  • Eliminate federal energy subsidies that cost taxpayers over $15 billion per year
  • Immediately approve the Keystone XL pipeline

Taken together, these reforms will mean lower costs to fill your tank and heat your home today and a more secure, prosperous future for generations to come.

But to push these policy recommendations through Congress and into law, we need your help to meet our year-end fundraising goal of $487,000.

Meeting this goal will have a significant impact on what we are able to accomplish on your behalf in the coming year.

Today, I'm seeking 100 donors like you who want to help reduce energy costs and unleash American energy production right here at home. Will you join the fight by being one of 100 patriots who are willing and able to make a tax-deductible year-end gift using the link below?

Thank you for choosing to lead on this critical issue—your support will help strengthen our economy by restoring America's energy independence.

Sincerely,

Kevin D. Roberts, Ph.D
President, The Heritage Foundation

P.S. Because we refuse to accept a dime of government money, we rely on the generous support of supporters like you to help us maintain our independence as we continue to fight for greater domestic energy production and a higher standard of living for you and your family. Please support these efforts by making your year-end gift right now »
