President Donald Trump leaped to the defense of Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday in the face of mounting criticism from conservative influencers and internet personalities over the Justice Department's abrupt refusal to release additional documents from the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking investigation. When a reporter attempted to ask Bondi about Epstein at a White House Cabinet meeting, Trump headed off the questions and scolded the journalist: "Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?" The Trump administration has been very effective, but his cover-up has been badly mismanaged! They should have at least taken a look at what's in the files before promising to release them.

Biden's strange use of teleprompter in donor's home infuriated supporters . . . For most of the campaign, Biden only ever spoke with the assistance of a teleprompter, even for small private audiences," a new book, "2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America," reported. "The presence of the machine made for extremely awkward interactions in intimate settings, and irked donors who had paid thousands of dollars for a personal view of the president, not expecting a canned speech they could see on TV." Jewish Democrats in Congress sound the alarm on Mamdani . . . Mamdani, a self-described Democratic socialist, bested a crowded field of Democratic mayoral hopefuls last month on a message largely focused on affordability in the city. But his ascension has been accompanied by intense scrutiny of his statements related to Israel, including his support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, accusing Israel of apartheid after the Oct. 7 attack and stopping short of denouncing the saying "globalize the intifada" or calling Israel a Jewish state. Leftist Fury Boils Over as Democrats Lose Power, Seek Confrontation . . . The Democratic Party establishment has been utterly discredited by four years under the Biden administration. While some of its party leaders and strategists have made a short-lived effort to rhetorically move to the "center," the base of the party seems to be having nothing of it. The U.S. Agency for International Development shipped thousands of viral samples to a lab in Wuhan over the course of a 10-year program even though it had no formal agreement with the lab in place, according to previously unreported documents. The documents show that USAID funded the exportation of 11,000 samples from Yunnan Province, where some of the closest relatives of the COVID-19 virus circulate, to Wuhan, the epicenter of the pandemic, with no apparent plan for ensuring the samples were not misdirected to bioweapons and remained accessible to the U.S. government. Putin and Xi's plot to topple the US dollar is dead . . . As the 17th Brics Summit kicks off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this weekend, leaders of two of the most important founding nations, Russia and China, will be conspicuous by their absence. Trump's assault on the Brics appears to be paying off. Despite all the talk about "de-dollarisation", no realistic alternative has been created. And Brics members have begun to distance themselves from the idea of a common currency. In late January, Putin's spokesman Dmitriy Peskov denied that the Brics planned to create its own currency, claiming that the goal was to stand up joint investment platforms.
