REUTERS/Brendan McDermid Trump rally shooting Donald Trump is in Milwaukee to make final preparations for the Republican presidential nomination later this week after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt that prompted him and President Joe Biden to call for national unity and calm. One person in the crowd of Trump's campaign rally on Saturday, a 50-year-old volunteer firefighter, was killed shielding his family from bullets before Secret Service agents fatally shot the alleged attacker. Here's what we know about the suspect. In a country already on edge, the shooting has raised fears of further political violence. In other news Ukraine's mobilization campaign is picking up despite faltering enthusiasm. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy lowered the draft age to 25 from 27 in April and signed off on an overhaul of the mobilization process that came into force in May. Pakistan plans to ban former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, the information minister said. Jailed since August, Khan and his third wife were acquitted on Saturday on charges that they married unlawfully, but he will not be freed.
