Good morning,
Welcome to the news for independent thinkers
Leading the News . . .
The far-left network that helped put Alex Pretti in harm's way, then made him a martyr . . . A Fox News Digital investigation found the fatal Minneapolis encounter that left 37-year-old Alex Pretti dead was preceded by a coordinated mobilization of far-left groups. Encrypted chats, street alerts, and a database tracking ICE "abductors" show agitators converged outside a donut shop minutes before shots were fired. Vance calls Minneapolis unrest 'engineered chaos' after deadly shooting
These are not spontaneous protests, or at least not entirely so. They are sparked by a left-wing network of communists, foreign agents, and Antifa who seek the overthrow of our government and the destruction of our society. Right now, they are having a good day, as federal officials attempt to enforce laws completely ignored by Democrats and the Biden administration while enduring endless interference and irresponsible calls by Minnesota Gov. Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Frey for resistance. Incidents like the horrifying death of Alex Pretti are inevitable amid what is amounting to a violent insurrection. Let's not prejudge this shooting. Let's hear the rationale of the officer who shot him. And lets remember that bringing an loaded gun - not to mention extra rounds - to a violent effort to interfere with law enforcement, and then resisting them physically, carries risks.
Mob besieges Minneapolis Home2 Suites after Alex Pretti shooting . . . A furious anti-ICE crowd stormed a Minneapolis Home2 Suites by Hilton, convinced federal officers were inside, smashing windows, spray-painting obscenities, and pelting people in the lobby. The surge came a day after Border Patrol agents fatally shot protester Alex Pretti, 37, ratcheting tensions across the Twin Cities. Demonstrators shoved a Minneapolis police officer and tried forcing entry, prompting staff to barricade doors with vending machines. New York Post

More than half a dozen officials told Fox News senior DHS leaders are mishandling public messaging, sparking internal fights over tone and credibility as scrutiny grows. Authorities say Pretti was armed with a handgun and magazines. Fox News
Border Patrol Commander, CNN Host Clash Over Minneapolis Shooting
Walz Compares ICE to Nazis . . . Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz likened federal immigration enforcement to Nazi persecution, invoking Anne Frank during a press conference. Walz claimed children are "hiding" in Minnesota, suggesting current ICE operations mirror historical tyranny. It's always the Nazis. Can't they get more more original? The analogy trivializes the Holocaust and inflames tensions while ignoring enforcement realities. The remark fits a broader Democratic strategy: moral dramatization over policy debate, casting enforcement as villainy to energize base. Daily Wire

Schumer Risks Shutdown After DHS Standoff . . . Hours after Border Patrol fatally shot an armed man in Minneapolis, Chuck Schumer said Democrats won't back a funding package that includes DHS. The Senate faces a Jan. 30 deadline on a six-bill bundle; failure to reach 60 votes could trigger a partial shutdown. After last year's 43-day impasse, Democrats again flirt with leverage politics over border security. Republicans argue public safety shouldn't be bargaining chips during volatile moments nationwide. Trump said he dispatched an "armada" after warning Tehran to halt the killings. Washington Times

It's not clear what prompted this or exactly what it means, but it's not atypical of the Chinese Communist Party. Mao tse-Tung almost routinely purged the top ranks of the government and, sometimes, brought them back if they survived.
