DOJ probing Garland anti-conservative memo . . . Former Attorney General Merrick Garland sent a memo in 2021 directing the DOJ and the FBI to "launch a series of additional efforts in the coming days designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel." Conservatives saw the memo as an attempt to use the FBI to threaten and silence parents who voiced concerns with left-wing school board policies, such as critical race theory and radical gender ideology. President Trump's attempt to keep a ceasefire alive between Israel and Iran appeared to calm the concerns of his top supporters Tuesday after fissures emerged within his base over the conflict and the prospect of regime change in the region. Saturday's strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and the tumult leading up to them had become a flashpoint for the MAGA universe, splitting Trump's most loyal supporters. The Hill

Bob Ferguson, a Democrat, on May 2, singles out priests as mandatory reporters if they hear a member admit to child abuse or neglect during confession. Washington Stand

Early US intelligence report suggests US strikes only set back Iran's nuclear program by months . . . A U.S. intelligence report suggests that Iran's nuclear program has been set back only a few months after U.S. strikes and was not "completely and fully obliterated" as President Donald Trump has said, according to two people familiar with the early assessment. The report issued by the Defense Intelligence Agency found that while the Sunday strikes at the Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites did significant damage, the facilities were not totally destroyed. Associated Press
Admin pushes back: Iran 'much further away' from building nukes after US strike, Rubio says . . . Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Iran is "much further away from a nuclear weapon" amid new intelligence assessments that a U.S. strike did not destroy three of the country's nuclear sites. Rubio, in an exclusive interview with POLITICO's Dasha Burns on the sidelines of the NATO summit, offered a more measured assessment than President Donald Trump, who has insisted that Iran's sites at Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan have been "completely destroyed." Why Trump was confident Iran was building a bomb . . . A renewed push to make a bomb — as opposed to just enriching the fuel for one — was probably the trigger for the devastating war that Israel began on June 13 and ended, at least temporarily, with Monday night's ceasefire.Israeli intelligence on Iranian weaponization was shared with me by a source familiar with the reports. Much of it tracks IAEA reports published on June 12 with the agency's stern warning that it couldn't "provide assurance that Iran's nuclear programme is exclusively peaceful." Washington Post

Actually, he should get it for bombing Iran and share it with Netanyahu for waging war on Iran and its proxies. Nothing promotes peace better than destroying those who want war.

Murphy, an appointee of President Joe Biden confirmed by the Senate less than a month before Trump took office, issued an order mere hours after the Supreme Court stay, acting as though the nation's highest court had not thrown out his initial injunction. Crockett, who has made a show of complaining that she was not given any kind of briefing on President Donald Trump's decision to execute a series of strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, could be seen in a widely-shared video clip saying that she — and other members of Congress — should have been who ultimately decided whether or not the United States should have gone ahead with the move. No, she definitely cannot be the one to make the F*** decision.
