President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, his onetime close adviser and top political benefactor, on Thursday began sparring in a bitter, public feud that could have lasting implications for the world's richest man, the president and the entire Republican Party. Almost nothing seemed off limits as the two parried — Musk suggested the president should be impeached, Trump threatened Musk's companies, and Musk even threw out allegations related to Jeffrey Epstein. Signs of a truce emerge . . . Signs of a truce are emerging in the increasingly bitter clash between two of the world's most powerful men. "Oh it's okay," Trump told POLITICO in a brief telephone call when asked about the very public breakup with his onetime megabacker. "It's going very well, never done better." hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, rushed to ease the tension — and Musk seemed agreeable. "I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country," Ackman wrote on X. Musk responded, "You're not wrong." Politico

Supreme Court Rules Wisconsin Court Discriminated Against Catholic Charities Bureau . . . The Supreme Court has unanimously overturned a Wisconsin Supreme Court decision that prevented the Catholic Charities Bureau from receiving a religious tax exemption. Justice Sonia Sotomayor penned the opinion for the court, while Justices Clarence Thomas and Ketanji Brown Jackson each filed concurring opinions. The court held that Wisconsin's court violated the First Amendment by "differentiating between religions based on theological choices." Daily Signal
Supreme Court rules for straight woman in reverse discrimination case . . . Heterosexual employees who claim discrimination shouldn't have to meet a higher burden than others just because they aren't part of a minority group, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously Thursday. "By establishing the same protections for every 'individual' — without regard to that individual's membership in a minority or majority group — Congress left no room for courts to impose special requirements on majority-group plaintiffs alone," Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote for the court. Supreme Court Rules on Mexico's Attack on US Gun Manufacturers . . . The Supreme Court unanimously struck down Mexico's challenge to U.S. gun manufacturers, holding that they cannot be blamed for crime and cartel violence south of the border. Justice Elena Kagan delivered the unanimous opinion. Kagan ruled that because Mexico did not plausibly allege that gun manufacturers aided and abetted gun dealers' unlawful sales of firearms to Mexican traffickers, the Protecting Lawful Commerce in Arms Act bars Mexico's lawsuit from proceeding. Illinois YMCA Hosts 'LGBT Youth' Camp With Group That Distributes 'Tucking Underwear' . . . An Illinois YMCA is hosting an LGBT-themed camp for second graders alongside an activist organization that hands out so-called "gender-affirming" clothing items like "tucking underwear" and chest binders to anyone regardless of age. The Stephens Family YMCA in Champaign will host "Camp Kaleidoscope," a program designed for "LGBTQ+ youth or youth who are part of LGBTQ+ families."Two sessions will be offered: one for children in second through fifth grades in June, and another for kids in sixth through ninth grade in July. Iran has ordered thousands of tons of ballistic-missile ingredients from China, people familiar with the transaction said, seeking to rebuild its military prowess as it discusses the future of its nuclear program with the U.S. Shipments of ammonium perchlorate are expected to reach Iran in coming months and could fuel hundreds of ballistic missiles, the people said. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday ended an expensive and controversial watchlist program, overseen by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), that she claimed failed to "stop a single terrorist attack." Republicans have accused the program of targeting the Biden administration's political opponents, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, while caving to Democratic influence by keeping some elites off the list. Homeland Security details shocking abuse of migrant children; adults impregnated children . . . The Biden administration placed some illegal immigrant children with sponsors who got them pregnant, the Homeland Security Department said Thursday. In other cases, minors who showed up at the border without parents were sent to live with adults who possessed child pornography, had serious criminal records or forced the children into labor. Russia launches 'massive' strikes days after Ukrainian drone attack . . . Russia launched large-scale drone and missile strikes on Ukraine's capital and other parts of the country early on Friday, officials said. At least three people were killed and 49 injured in the strikes, according to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky. The aerial raids targeted Kyiv, as well as the city of Lutsk and the Ternopil region in the north-west of the country. BBC

Shares of Elon Musk's electric vehicle maker plunged more than 14% in a stunning wipeout as investors dumped holdings amid a bitter war of words between the president and the world's richest man. By the end of the trading day, $150 billion of Tesla's value had been erased, more than what it would take to buy all the shares of Starbucks and hundreds of other big publicly traded U.S. companies. Veterans gathered Friday in Normandy to mark the 81st anniversary of the D-Day landings — a pivotal moment of World War II that eventually led to the collapse of Adolf Hitler's regime. Along the coastline and near the D-Day landing beaches, tens of thousands of onlookers attended the commemorations, which included parachute jumps, flyovers, remembrance ceremonies, parades, and historical reenactments. "Hey @realDonaldTrump lmk if u need any breakup advice," St. Clair wrote on X as Musk railed against his former buddy Thursday. St. Clair, 26, claimed to have given birth to Elon Musk's 13th child last summer and has been in a legal battle in New York to have the former DOGE honcho acknowledge his son publicly. New York Post
