Hossein Salami, Iran's Revolutionary Guards chief, killed by Israel . . . Hossein Salami, commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in Israel's strikes early on Friday, the most senior Iranian leader to die in the attacks. Salami, who was 65, was known for taking a hardline stance against Iran's rivals, including Israel and the US. Just last month, he had warned that Tehran would "open the gates of hell" if attacked by either country. BBC

U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) pledged his support of the attack by Israel on Iran, saying Israel should "keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel." He posted his remarks on social media a short time after the news of Israel's pre-emptive bombing of Iran hit the press. "Our commitment to Israel must be absolute and I fully support this attack," Fewtterman wrote on X. "Keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel." Breitbart
House GOP Passes DOGE Cuts by a Whisker After Chaos on Floor . . . The House Republicans successfully passed a rescissions package to cut $9.4 billion from foreign aid and public broadcasting Thursday, in the first major codification of President Donald Trump's efforts to restructure the federal government. The rescissions package, which targeted funding for the U.S. Agency for International Development as well as for National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service, was passed on a vote of 214-212. Govs. JB Pritzker of Illinois, Kathy Hochul of New York, and Tim Walz of Minnesota testified at the hearing, which came just days after riots broke out in Los Angeles. The Department of Homeland Security defines sanctuary jurisdictions as "cities, counties, and states that are deliberately obstructing the enforcement of federal immigration laws and endangering American citizens." Is Britain About to Legalize Abortion Until Birth? . . . Britain soon could pass the most extreme abortion law Europe has ever seen. Members of Parliament have proposed amendments that would legalize abortion up until the moment of birth. The amendments could also allow for sex-selective abortions and would take away the ability to prosecute abusers who harm unborn children, according to the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, a pro-life advocacy group in the U.K. According to The Telegraph, Britain's current law allows for abortion up until a pregnancy is 24 weeks along. One person is confirmed to have survived the crash of an Air India passenger jet that claimed the lives of over 240 people on board. Air India confirmed the survivor's status, according to The New York Times. Viswash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British national of Indian origin, was on board the flight returning to the United Kingdom after visiting family in India.
