Crime Prevention Research Center   Dear Diogenes: In the last week, I have given seven talks—six in Atlanta at the NRA convention and then a couple of days later in Grand Junction, Colorado, at the A Girl & A Gun conference (picture below). One of the more shocking revelations came out a couple of weeks ago when Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, declassified a shocking plan by former President Joe Biden's administration for dealing with domestic terrorists. The original public version of the plan aimed at criminals. Gabbard declassified the rest of the plan and aimed to track "concerning non-criminal behavior" – a shocking move with no precedent in U.S. history. Major media completely ignored the document, and even the few conservative outlets that covered it ignored what I thought was the most important concern: that they were targeting non-criminal behavior. My op-ed at Real Clear Politics is the only write-up that goes through this point. I discussed this on Steve Bannon's War Room and San Diego's KCBQ, though other interviews will be posted shortly. Our new research on comparing the effectiveness of armed civilians and uniformed police in stopping active shooting attacks has continued getting coverage. Bill Cunningham had me on his national radio show, and I also discussed it on Western Montana's KGVO. Other radio shows discussed the Florida State University shooting (a gun-free zone and just weeks before the shooting Florida lawmakers blocked a campus carry bill), the US DOJ's memo creating a 2A Task Force, and comparing so-called "non-lethal" self-defense tools like mace and kinetic projectiles. We recently found and posted a report from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office showing that Mexican Nationals alone made up more than 13% of the inmates in the Arizona state prison system, even though all illegals taken together account for 9% of the state population. Other posts discuss the push to ban 21-inch knives in the UK, and how a Vancouver driver with a history of mental illness drove through a crowd of people, murdering 11 and injuring two dozen others.
