President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday establishing a task force to end the anti-Christian weaponization of government. "The mission of this task force will be to immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the [Justice Department], which was absolutely terrible," Trump said at a National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., on Thursday morning. There has long been speculation about whether Casey, a mainstay on the campaign trail for her husband, would herself one day run for office, but those plans seem to be coming closer to reality, five people directly familiar with the donor event and Casey DeSantis' thought process said. Bondi Represented Mom in Case Against School District That Tried to Secretly Transition Daughter . . . One of Pam Bondi's clients says the newly-confirmed U.S. attorney general took her case suing the school district that tried to secretly transition her daughter when no one else would consider it. In 2021, Erin Lee's 12-year-old daughter was invited by her art teacher to come to art club after school in the Poudre School District in Fort Collins, Colorado. Little did Lee know, it was a Gay Straight Awareness club where a guest speaker told her daughter if she's "not 100% comfortable in her female body, she's transgender." Daily Signal

As noted in the book "The Myth of Voter Suppression," Elias is among lawyers on the Left who have sued to stop election reform laws, such as requiring voter ID and updating voter registration data. Russell Vought, President Donald Trump's nominee to lead the Office of Management and Budget, was confirmed by the Senate Thursday night on party lines by a margin of 53-47, as Democrat senators broke decorum by protesting against his confirmation as their names were called. Almost every Democrat yelled in protest as the vote was called, each one saying on whose behalf they were voting against the confirmation. Daily Signal
FEC chairwoman rejects Trump's attempt to remove her . . . Federal Election Commission Chairwoman Ellen Weintraub said she received a letter from President Donald Trump telling her she was removed from her position — a notice she said is not legal. "Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner & Chair of @FEC," Weintraub said in a post on X. "There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been lucky to serve the American people & stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon." Washington Examiner

Elon Musk's top DOGE staffer quits over racist social media posts . . . A key DOGE staff member who gained access to the Treasury Department's central-payments system resigned Thursday after he was linked to a deleted social-media account that advocated racism and eugenics. Marko Elez, a 25-year-old who is part of a cadre of Elon Musk lieutenants deployed by the Department of Government Efficiency to scrutinize federal spending, resigned. Feds spent millions to create 'transgender' lab testing animals . . . Members of Congress exploded Thursday over reports that taxpayer money has paid for experiments using "transgender lab rats," saying it was time to shut down the government's animal-testing industry. At a time when nearly every issue sparks partisan rancor, both Democrats and Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee said something needs to change."Why is the federal government spending taxpayer dollars to create transgender animals?" demanded Rep. Conservative and pro-life groups are calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate reports that pro-life activists imprisoned by the Biden Justice Department were neglected, while trans-identifying prisoners were given special treatment. In a letter first obtained by The Daily Wire, the coalition highlighted former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany's interview with the pro-life prisoners, who Donald Trump pardoned on his fourth day in office. In a memo released Thursday, the Federal Highway Administration ordered states to halt a $5 billion program to build fast EV chargers on highways nationwide — an initiative that President Donald Trump cited as an example of the "Green New Deal." The letter informs state transportation directors — who are in charge of administering the program — that any plans approved by the Biden administration are now suspended until the Transportation Department provides new guidelines in the spring. Search underway in western Alaska for plane carrying 10 people . . . Rescuers searched Friday for any sign of a plane that went missing while carrying 10 people across Alaska's Norton Sound south of the Arctic Circle. The Bering Air Caravan, a single-engine turboprop, was heading from Unalakleet to Nome on Thursday afternoon with nine passengers and a pilot, according to Alaska's Department of Public Safety. 100 venomous red-bellied black snakes were removed from a pile of mulch in Sydney backyard . . . David Stein called Reptile Relocation Sydney last week after watching around six snakes slither into the mulch. He learned from an internet search that pregnant, known as gravid, red-belly blacks pile on top of each other before they give birth. Snake catcher Dylan Cooper arrived that afternoon. Stein helped rake away mulch as Cooper bagged 102 pregnant and newborn snakes. Associated Press

Michigan Democrat Says She 'Opted for Voluntary Sterilization' Because of Trump Presidency . . . Michigan state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky said Wednesday that she underwent surgery earlier this year to become voluntarily sterile out of fear for the future of reproductive health care access with President Donald Trump back in office. "Just under two weeks ago, I underwent surgery to ensure that I would never have to navigate a pregnancy in Donald Trump's America," Pohutsky said. "I refuse to let my body be treated as currency by an administration that only sees value in my ability to procreate. Michigan Advance
