Handout War in Ukraine Ukraine's air force said Russia launched an ICBM, in the first known use in the war of such a powerful missile. ICBMs are strategic weapons designed to deliver nuclear warheads and are an important part of Russia's nuclear deterrence. The launch comes after Ukraine fired US and British missiles at targets inside Russia this week. Separately, the US said it had reopened its embassy in Kyiv after it was shut for a day due to what it called the threat of a significant air attack. Follow the latest. United States President-elect Donald Trump is poised to enact a dramatic expansion of "school choice" programs next year that would make it easier for hundreds of thousands of parents to send their children to private school.
