The FBI secretly updated their crime data for 2021 and 2022 Our investigation into the FBI changing its crime data went viral this week. The FBI originally claimed that violent crime fell during 2022, it was what news headlines have been proclaiming over the last year since the data came out in October 2023. But we discovered that when the FBI released its data for 2023 last month, they secretly updated their data for 2021 and 2022. I wrote a report for Real Clear Investigations that went viral and generated several dozen news stories (I list 18 here, but we will post more in the next few days). There were three different stores on Fox News this week (the first one is available here). At least four different shows on Fox News discussed our report, including mentions on two nights by Greg Gutfeld during his TV show (here (worth watching) and here). It exploded on social media with Elon Musk, Libs of TikTok, Collin Rugg, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Ann Coulter, and many others tweeting it out. I discussed this on a number of radio and TV shows, and I will be posting those over the next week, but here is one discussion that I had on Vicki McKennan's show in Wisconsin. The Dan Bongino radio show and the Glenn Beck Radio Show discussed our work. After finally getting a response from the FBI regarding our work, the Kansas City Star concluded: “Judging from the ridiculous answer the FBI sent me, the right-wing media reports are true.” My op-ed in the Washington Times discussed Kamala Harris' extreme views on gun control. The Sean Hannity radio show, the largest talk radio show in the country with 16.5 million listeners, had me on for a half hour to talk about it. I think it is worth listening to. Over the last couple of weeks, I have also continued educating people about the FBI, estimating the number of reported crimes, the Bureau of Justice Statistics measure of total crime, and how the total number of crimes has soared during the Biden-Harris administration. That included appearances on television shows such as NewsMax's Rob Schmitt Tonight and Wake Up America, America's Voice Live with Steve Gruber, and Wilkow!. I was on Radio shows: Sebastian Gorka's national show, Alaska's Michael Dukes, Richmond, Virginia's WAVA, Wisconsin's Vicki McKenna, Houston's giant 50,000-watt KTRH, and Victoria Taft's Adult in the Room. Another op-ed discusses the false myths the Biden-Harris administration is pushing in the ghost gun case that the Supreme Court just heard. Another op-ed discussed two constitutional initiatives on the ballot in Montana that would help get Democrats elected. Elon Musk has really become an extremely strong supporter of gun ownership. Here is a short video from his appearance in Butler, Pennsylvania. A new poll shows the increasingly sharp divide between Democrats and Republicans. If you haven’t already seen it, please watch our new video with John Stossel, which covers our new research showing errors in the FBI’s active shooting reports. We have updated our list of defensive gun uses by people legally carrying concealed handguns for July 2024. We have continued compiling examples of media bias on guns. We found an old TV series on Fox's "The Finder" which had the main character explain why he doesn't like gun. We need your support to continue doing the work that we do. Your help is greatly appreciated. I don't think that there is any organization with as small of a budget that regularly produces as much as we do. We need help getting this message out.
