From Post-Christian, to Post-Truth, to Post-Reality: How Far We Have Fallen!

Tom Gilson

March 3, 2023

First it was Christendom, then the world went post-Christian. From post-Christian we descended to post-truth, 2016’s “word of the year.” Can we fall any further than that? We can, and we have. The world has gone post-reality now.

Post-Christianity said each person can create his own meaning. Post-truth sees that and raises it one, offering everyone the power to name his or her own truths. Post-reality scoffs and says, “That’s too easy.” Each person now creates his, her, their, xyr own reality.

Nothing demonstrates this post-reality like transgenderism, and the whole “identify as” craze propping it up. You can speak your reality into existence now! And heaven help the person who dares say there’s another, different reality with a say of its own in it.

Anti-Racism: The Golden Calf We’re Told to Worship

John Zmirak

There’s nothing wrong with cows. God made them, and they’re our friends. They’re our main source of milk, cheese, leather, and meat. They’re easy to render docile, then lead around from place to place. They pull our plows and fertilize our fields.

Without them, mankind might never have reached the Bronze Age, much less the Space Age. They’re not even one of the creatures which the Israelites were meant to shun, like pigs. Cattle are such a blessing that our legal term for private property, “chattel,” comes from … “cattle.”

The races of man that can drink milk as adults and digest cheese have such a competitive advantage as a result, they might be tempted to venerate cows — as indeed the Hindus do, consuming only dairy, and never eating the beasts.

Don’t Worry, Ukraine. We’ll Look Out for You, Just Like Afghanistan

Jason Scott Jones

March 9, 2023

The Bourbon dynasty lost power in the French Revolution, got restored after Napoleon, repeated all the same mistakes, and lost the throne again forever. One statesman said of the Bourbons, “They learned nothing, and forgot nothing.” Some of our leaders in Congress are promising to do exactly the same after our devastating surrender in Afghanistan.

My organization, the Vulnerable People Project, works on the ground trying to help the vulnerable in Afghanistan and in Ukraine. We focused our efforts especially on the 170,000 or so Afghans who helped American soldiers on the front lines, and were promised U.S. visas — then abandoned by Joe Biden in his infamous cut and run. So when Congress held long-overdue hearings about America’s vast strategic failure in the country, I was riveted.

Why Do They Call Themselves ‘Progressives’?

Nolan Lewallen

March 7, 2023

Progressive: prə-‘gre-siv 1 a: of, relating to, or characterized by progress b: making use of or interested in new ideas, findings, or opportunities.

That’s how Merriam-Webster defines “progressive.” Progress? New Ideas? It seems to me the “progressive” policies are having the opposite effect on our society.

Race

It was March 1965 when Martin Luther King led the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. We’ve made so much (real) progress since then. Now, after all that progress, the “progressive” movement is throwing that all out the window. By pushing Affirmative Action, CRT, and racial “equity,” they are taking us back to the 1960s where everything is about the color of a person’s skin.
