Virginia: New Restriction on Conceal Carry Training Starting January 1
On January 1st, 2021, Senate Bill 263 and the identical House Bill 264 go into effect. As a result, electronic or online firearm training courses will no longer be accepted with new applications for the Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP), to satisfy the mandatory training requirement.

Tomorrow, the House Civil Justice Committee will likely vote on House Bill 796, companion bill to Senate Bill 383.  Once it has passed out of committee, the measure can be voted on the House floor at any time.
