One person was killed and at least ten were injured Tuesday evening in a shooting at a Christmas market in Strasbourg, France, according to local officials.

The lone gunman, who opened fire just after 7p.m., remains at large, according to local police.

Police have cordoned off the square where the shooting occurred and are currently engaged in a search for the suspect.

Videos obtained by the UK Mirror show shoppers running in terror as gun shots ring out.

"There were gunshots and people running everywhere," a local shopkeeper told BFM TV. "It lasted about 10 minutes."
