Stretch a single . . . . . Into a double.

Dear Friend,

The National Review Institute -- home to the most persuasive and talented writers in America -- needs (indeed, merits!) your support, and, through the generosity of a determined friend, has a terrific incentive for you to provide such.

But first . . .

Did you know the Institute was founded by Bill Buckley in 1991? That it is the not-for-profit educational sister organization of National Review magazine (and NRO)? That it is the home to fellows Jonah Goldberg, Kevin Williamson, Jay Nordlinger, Andrew McCarthy, Victor Davis Hanson, Kathryn Jean Lopez, Reihan Salam, and John O'Sullivan? That it supports the acclaimed Buckley Journalism Fellow program, as well as the Dusty Rhodes journalism fellowship?

Yes, NRI does all that, and more. Much more.

Which means, when you support NRI -- which you can do right here -- you are indeed supporting the work of its fellows, the training (by NR's amazing editors) of up-and-coming young conservative journalists, and so much more that complements the most authoritative voice in American conservatism.

The simple facts are these: National Review stands athwart history, yelling stop. And NRI echoes and amplifies that call in so many important and meaningful ways.

Do you want to preserve, protect, and promulgate the Buckley mission? In a tax-deductible way? Of course you do: so please support NRI during its Spring into Summer Drive. Between June 13th and June 30th, for every dollar you donate, one generous contributor has committed to match it. Dollar for dollar.

How's that for an incentive?!

Our goal is to raise $100,000 from fellow conservatives, especially from those who wish to protect and advance the Buckley Mission -- and then double it. Thanks to your generosity, and the matching grant, whatever is raised will go a long way towards underwriting the Institute's vital programs and fellowships of those writers who you find profoundly influential (and always worth reading).

Bill Buckley created NRI to support and advance the mission he first established through National Review. If you care about that mission, if you care about the conservative cause -- and you do! -- then please make your tax-deductible contribution to the National Review Institute by June 30th.

And see your generosity doubled!

Many thanks, and God bless.

Best,
