Until his election to the Assembly in 2000, he served as a Counsel to the Speaker of the Assembly.    Staten Island big plans for the future Congressman Daniel Donovan is an attorney the United States Representative for New York's 11th congressional district. From 1989 until 1996 Congressman Donovan was an Assistant District Attorney in the office of Robert M. Morgenthau.  In 1997 he became Chief of Staff to then Staten Island Borough President Guy V. Molinari.
