	Misplaced Priorities The world is on the verge of chaos. We have Vladimir Putin taking over part of Ukraine. There's no word on the missing Malaysian airliner. You'd think President Obama would have his priorities in order. Unfortunately that's not the case. Here are some examples of things he's had time to do recently: - An interview with comedian Zach Galifianakis on "Between Two Ferns" - A Ryan Seacrest interview discussing his selection in jeans - He picked his NCAA bracket - He went on Ellen, where she reassured him that everybody loves ObamaCare! Then we have the First Lady taking a trip to China on the taxpayer's dime. The visit is being touted as a feel-good tourist vacation for Michelle Obama, her mother and her daughters. No reporters were allowed to attend the taxpayer-funded trip, which is supposed to be used for "soft diplomacy." But the Obama-mania media has gone to great lengths to emphasize that the trip is "not political." Then why, exactly, are the taxpayers paying for it? We've yet to find out the estimated cost of the trip, but it seems tone deaf that the Obamas would take such a trip when so many Americans continue to struggle in this economy. It's also tone deaf that the president is focusing on matters that seem far less pressing than the world landscape suggests.

Yesterday I told you about a report that Jay Carney receives questions from the press in advance of his briefings. Sometimes he even answers the questions in writing before the live Q&A. This set off a firestorm of criticism and the reporter making the claim is backing off.

A local reporter from Arizona claimed that in a off the record meeting, Carney explained the process of journalists submitting their questions before his daily White House press briefings. In her original report on the local CBS affiliate, the reporter said the following: "And then [Jay Carney] also mentioned that a lot of times, unless it's something breaking, the questions that the reporters actually ask -- the correspondents -- they are provided to him in advance. So then he knows what he's going to be answering and sometimes those correspondents and reporters also have those answers printed in front of them, because of course it helps when they're producing their reports for later on. So that was very interesting."
