Greetings,

Last week, the Washington establishment struck a lousy deal that fails to address the harms coming from Obamacare and continues to impede economic growth and job creation. But there is reason to be encouraged. Throughout the fight to defund Obamacare, we saw millions of Americans rise up and make their voices heard.

The House of Representatives listened, and I'm confident that over time, if we continue to stand together, we can make the Senate listen, too. I'm encouraged each and every day for the opportunity to fight for you in the United States Senate, and it has been a tremendous privilege to meet with many of you over the past few days all over the Great State of Texas. I hope you'll keep reading about what comes next in our fight to stop the detrimental effects Obamacare is having on our nation.

All the best,

Ted Cruz

VISITING WITH YOU

Over the past few days, Sen. Cruz traveled to San Antonio, Houston, and Arlington to meet with Texans, stressing the need for the American people to continue to make their voices heard and hold elected officials accountable.

A TERRIBLE DEAL FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Last week, Sen. Cruz took to the Senate floor to lay out his opposition to a debt ceiling deal that embodies everything about the Washington establishment that frustrates the American people. The deal allows more debt, more spending and does absolutely nothing to provide relief for the millions of Americans who are being harmed by Obamacare.

However, Sen. Cruz noted that "if the American people continue to rise up, we're going to turn this around. We're going to restore jobs, we're going to restore economic growth, we're going to restore the ability of people struggling to climb the ladder and achieve the American dream, and we're going to stop the number-one job killer in this country that is Obamacare."

The Senator also spoke to members of the press about the need to stop Obamacare before it can do any more harm to our health care or our economy. Sen. Cruz emphasized that the "fight against Obamacare must continue in the face of Washington's apathy. That is where my attention will remain focused."

THE FIGHT TO STOP OBAMACARE WILL CONTINUE

On Sunday, Sen. Cruz appeared on ABC's This Week where he declared his intention to continue to fight to prevent the tremendous harms coming from Obamacare. Watch and share the discussion.

Last week, Sen. Cruz also spoke with CNN's Dana Bash about his return to the Great State of Texas and his commitment to fighting on behalf of Texans to provide relief from Obamacare. Watch and share the video.

AMERICANS CONTINUE TO LOSE COVERAGE BECAUSE OF OBAMACARE

On Monday, President Obama drew the media’s attention to a handful of persons who have applied for Obamacare while ignoring the untold number of Americans who are losing the plans they liked because of Obamacare.

Just this weekend, Kaiser Health joined numerous other news outlets by confirming a new victim of Obamacare: Americans who are receiving cancellation notices from their insurers due to the Affordable Act.

We already know Obamacare can’t live up to its promises. President Obama promised Americans that their premiums would go down, taxes would not rise, millions of jobs would be created, and if they liked their healthcare plans, they could keep them. Instead, premiums are rising, taxes are higher, the economy is sputtering, and people are losing their plans.
