The Obama administration is so desperate to get young people to sign up for Obama Care that it is willing to spend your tax dollars in ridiculous ways! You need to understand that Obama Care's “success” is predicated on the ability to get young, healthy people to buy into the system … hence the desperation. You also need to understand that when you run the numbers, it is actually financially prudent for young, healthy Americans to simply pay the penalty rather than bothering with Obama Care exchanges. Nonetheless, the Department of Health and Human Services has announced this week that it will be hosting a video contest: The “Health Young America” contest. They will hold a contest to see who can produce the best videos to convince young people to sign up for Obama Care. Winners will get cash prizes – more of your tax dollars! So we are asking people to create government propaganda and them paying them with tax dollars. Sounds about par for the course, pardon the pun. Rick Perry Gets It Right Texas Governor Rick Perry hit the nail on the head when he said, "If Obama Care were sound health care policy, Secretary Sebelius wouldn't have to resort to video contests and prizes to tempt people to sign up.” Nonetheless, federal grants amounting to $684 million will be spent on ObamaCare “outreach” throughout the country. But that's not all. According to a report in the Daily Mail, the liberal organization that has been tapped to host this video contest is run by the former top lobbyist for the infamous ACORN organization. Deepak Bhargava is now the executive director of the Center for Community Change, after working for ACORN for 10 years. The Obama administration is now partnering with Young Invincibles, which operates under the fiscal auspices of the Center for Community Change. Meanwhile, the drumbeat to defund Obama Care continues to beat. Unfortunately it's hard to tell whether this August recess has convinced more Republicans to support the effort to defund Obama Care, or if it's given Republicans enough time to become scared. The Heritage Foundation produced a short video debunking any of these myths about defunding Obama Care. You can check it out here. |

| No Benghazi Accountability It has been almost a year since the attacks of September 11, 2012 and this administration has yet to hold anybody really accountable for the death of four Americans. Last year, Hillary Clinton put four mid-level State Department employees on administrative leave, in response to the attacks in Benghazi. These employees collected their salaries as the Administrative Review Board investigated Benghazi. One of them ended up resigning, but – as of today – they have officially been reinstated. One of these mid-level employees claimed to be a 'scapegoat' in the shallow attempt of the State Department to make it seem as though some action had been taken to hold people accountable. With these employees returning to work, not one person has truly been held accountable for the attacks and the death of four Americans. Susan Rice even got promoted! Perhaps the person who has been punished out of all of this is Greg Hicks, the US diplomat who became the highest ranking official in Libya once Chris Stevens was killed. If you will recall during his testimony in May, coming forward as a whistle blower he claims that his career has suffered as a result. I'm unsure of his current status, however it wouldn't surprise me that whistle blowers end up punished while those directly responsible are protected or promoted. Stonewalling, scapegoats, no accountability – sounds like a “phony” scandal within the self-proclaimed most transparent administration in history! By the way, to this day Reuters is still peddling the lie that the attack in Benghazi was the result of a protest over a YouTube video. Is that not amazing? Either they are desperately trying to carry the water for this administration or they are woefully ignorant. Either way, it's just pathetic. Another Attack on Civil Liberties Via Your President - Posted by Boberst Here's a bit of good news for everyone on the right and left that hates the 4th Amendment because it means you can hide from limited government. Obama admin. asks SCotUS to allow warrantless searches of mobile phones as it is in-line with a few court rulings. Some decisions by some courts suggest that anything on you should be subject to search, broadening police powers. Others suggest that considering the amount of private information outside of things that police need like all your phone numbers, that it should remain private and require a warrant to search.
