Former Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, Austan Goolsbee, sat down with Sean earlier this week to defend President Obama’s economic record. “Are we better off now with five trillion dollars in Obama debt,” began Hannity, “Are we better off as a country?” “Yes,” answered Goolsbee plainly, “It was like we were on the roof with a pumpkin that’s half-way falling and saying ‘You’re not allowed to say, ‘hey the pumpkin looked fine when I last saw it.” Goolsbee continued, “The point is, if you do – in a bi-partisan way, a tax cut, knowing perfectly well that will increase the deficit, it’s not appropriate to ask why the deficit is so high.” “All I know is that if we continue to borrow forty cents of every dollar we will be Greece,” closed Hannity. While Mr. Goolsbee’s efforts to defend President Obama’s record on deficit spending reduction we re flawed at best, the bottom line is the President made a lot of promises he couldn’t keep and his signature is on more than one spending appropriation that was obviously going counter to his campaign rhetoric in 2008. Sean was joined by Congressman Paul Ryan to talk about the 2012 election. “Your name is often floated as a potential VP pick for Governor Mitt Romney,” boldly began Hannity, “It’s got to be a good feeling to hear your name so often, are you being vetted?” “That and a buck fifty gets me a cup of coffee,” quickly answered Ryan, “It doesn’t help to feed into speculation so I just don’t do it.” On the election, Ryan offered, “This President really is ideologically out in left field, he really wants a government-centered society that will bring us toward a European society where we manage our decline for at least a generation.” Ryan continued, “The people want to vote for someone with a plan, for someone who will turn the American idea back on…they want a Reagan-like election.” “When you talk about managing decline, you’re basically saying if we’re staying on the same course,” questioned Hannity, “I think people hear million, trillion thrown around so often that I’m not sure people really know what it means.” “I asked the Congressional Budget Office what the tax would be on my grandchildren,” explained Ryan, “They told me that the tax rate would go from 10 percent to 25 percent on the lowest tax bracket, middle income earners would go to 66 percent and the top would be 88 percent.” If we do nothing, our fiscal destiny will be set in stone and it won’t be pretty. |

| It's Chick-Fil-A Day Todd Starnes of Fox News called live from a Chick-Fil-A in New Jersey to give an update on the Chick-Fil-A phenomena that hit today. The controversies began because of comments that the fast food company’s CEO, Dan Cathy, made opposing same-sex marriage. Various liberal groups around the country have called for boycotts of Chick-Fil-A today but the efforts have backfired. “Apparently there are reports that there are waits as long as 90 minutes for a chicken sandwich and waffle fries,” began Hannity. “There are militant groups staging boycotts,” explained Starnes, “And there are lawmakers throughout the country who say they’re going to do what they can to make sure that Chick-Fil-A goes out of business.” “All Cathy is doing is practicing his religious faith,” defended Hannity, “But now you have Rahm Emanuel and others who are trying to stop Chick-Fil-A from expanding to different places.” &ldqu o;You’re absolutely right,” agreed Starnes,” Emanuel even went so far as to say ‘Chick-Fil-A values are not Chicago’s values.’” “What does that mean,” a confused Hannity asked, “So he can’t put a Chick-Fil-A up and create jobs, doesn’t Chicago need jobs?” “Yeah, that’s what they’re saying,” an equally confused Starnes said, “What the liberals are saying is that it’s morally better for people to be unemployed than it is for them to be against same-sex marriage.” Click here for more details on this expanding story. Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: Went to Chic-Fil-A For Lunch Today- Posted by Acorn At least, I tried. Today was the day the gay advocate fanatics had named for a "boycott" of Chick-Fil-A, after its owner admitted he supported traditional marriage. From what I could see from my car, the place was standing room only inside. And there was a line of at least 50 people out the door and extending down the block. Parking lot was FULL, and there were at least 20 cars out the driveway and along the lane where I was. My lunch break isn't that long, so I regretfully left. The gay advocate fanatics wanted to display just what people feel about the CFA owner's statement that he supports the Biblical version of marriage.
