LOCAL COMMUTER ALERT

No injuries in Rosslyn Metro train derailment, but big delays

The derailment occurred around 7:15 p.m., after the peak of the evening rush period, but at a time when the system is still heavily used. Single-track service was restored in the tunnel between Foggy Bottom and Rosslyn around 7:40 p.m. but delays will persist through much of the evening. Riders headed toward Virginia's Blue Line stops may want to detour onto the Yellow Line at L'Enfant Plaza.
